The nonprofit agency provides assistance with paying electricity, cooling or gas bills. Households may also qualify to receive a free room air conditioners. This can include free food, housing (financial assistance for paying rent or deposits), job training, and financial literacy workshops. Head Start and other assistance programs may be available.

Emergency funds are available to help Texas renters pay rent and utility bills (including past due).

Both landlords and tenants can use the website to create an account and submit the application.

The program can help renters with costs  as far back as March 13, 2020.

  • Past due, current and up to 3 months of expected rent, expected utility and home energy expenses cost
  • After the initial 3 months of  assistance, you can apply for 3 additional months, if funds are available
